Information
Domaines Ott’s story started nearly 130 years ago (in 1896) when a young Alsatian agronomist Marcel Ott toured France to discover the depth of the viticultural world. His journey ended in Provence where he decided to cultivate some land which had been ravaged by phylloxera several years earlier. He worked hard to restore it, planting magnificent varieties, before handing it over to his descendants. Today, the vineyards, which became part of the Louis Roederer group in 2004, are managed by Jean-François Ott (the 4th generation). The Domaines Ott are made up of two Provence crus classés, Château de Selle and Clos Mireille, and a winery in Bandol, Château Romassan. The domains’ passion remains intact since the Otts came to the region over a century ago. They produce exquisite Provence whites, rosés and reds. Discover these iconic wines and their distinctive bottles.
This Provencal white expresses the typical saline qualities of its terroir and is based on a surprising grape variety - Semillon. After maturation in foudres, the wine is blended with Rolle, a very aromatic local grape. The wine's pale gold hues contrast with the prominent exotic fruit notes in its generous aromatic bouquet and the honeyed texture. It has good ageing potential.
