About the wine
This whiskey was produced in a small artisanal distillery in America quaintly named Dad’’s Hat, and was the first straight rye (produced from a minimum of 51% rye) to be made in Pennsylvania for 25 years. The grains are selected locally and the rye matured in casks for three to four years. The attention to detail and artisanal expertise make this nectar an absolute delight.
A tasting reveals a superbly vibrant whiskey illustrating the unique profile of straight rye, Dad’’s Hat’’s speciality, with outstanding aromas and real character. The nose is powerful, revealing a handful of marmalade notes and dried fruit. Spices and a little ginger are found on the palate.
