About the wine
Distilled from maize (the largest percentage at 68%), rye (28%) and malted barley (4%), this “frontier whiskey” produced in Kentucky spend ten years in American oak casks before being bottled at 45.6% ABV.
The nose opens with brioche and caramel aromas. The wood is very present and highlights the notes of sweet spices and dried fruit. The creamy palate is more fruity, driven by citrus flavours combined with notes of spices and vanilla from the American oak. The end of the palate lingers on persistent flavours of spices. A wonderful ten year old at an appealing price.
