About the wine
Yellowstone is a pre-Prohibition bourbon brand. It was created by J.B. Dant and was produced at the Gesthemane distillery. The brand was sold to Glenmore Distilleries in 1944. The distillery was closed in 1985 and sold to United Distillers in 1991 along with the Medley distillery. The Yellowstone brand was sold to Heaven Hill in 1993, who immediately sold it to the Sherman Company (now Luxco). The brand was produced at Heaven Hill until 2015. Paul and Steve Beam, descendants of the Beam and Dant families then signed an agreement with Luxco to produce Yellowstone at their new distillery Limestone Branch. Luxco’’s shares in Limestone Branch were bought by MGP in 2021.
