Information
Tino Kuban, a passionate and enthusiastic winemaker, took over the reins of Domaine Bernard van Berg located in Meursault, giving it the charming name we know today, Les Jardins Vivants (The Living Gardens). He cultivates one and a half hectares of vines at the heart of this exceptional terroir, where low yields and early-morning harvests guarantee premium quality fruit. Alongside his rigorous work as a winemaker, Tino has developed his own wine merchant business, Maison Glandien. He sources grapes from partner winemakers and friends located in various winegrowing regions, including Burgundy and Beaujolais, as well as Alsace and the Jura. He seeks out grapes from sustainable, integrated viticulture that comply with his high quality standards. During the vinification process, spontaneous fermentation, minimal use of sulphites and ageing in used barrels all guarantee authentic, flavoursome wines.
This superb rosé is a meticulous blend of Gamay and Chardonnay grapes from the Beaujolais region. It owes its exceptional quality and wealth of aromas to the meticulous, committed and natural work performed in the vineyard and the winery. The Chardonnay and Gamay grapes are exclusively hand-picked in the early hours of the morning to preserve the quality and freshness of the raw material. The selected fruit is then transported to the winery to undergo a natural, low-intervention vinification process, where all stages are completed by gravity.
The bright, luminous pink colour reveals a charming, seductive bouquet, with aromas of fresh red fruit, like strawberry and raspberry, combining beautifully with floral touches. The lively and perfectly structured palate reveals a superb balance of fruity freshness and light structure, leading to a delicious, refreshing finish.
