Information
This Les Gravières Premier cru is produced from a terroir of clay-limestone soils, covering a 0.57 hectare south-east-facing vineyard on a slope bordering the road to Chassagne-Montrachet, just below the Santenay mill. The vines are meticulously selected to ensure perfect ripeness, and are grown according to sustainable, organic practices. The vinification process is precise. The wine is matured in oak casks, including 50% new wood, resulting in subtle complexity and a harmonious balance of fruit and wood.
This nectar is characterised by its beautiful fairly rich colour, its elegant refined nose typical of the region. The aromas of red fruit, strawberry, cherry combines with hints of caramel and coffee add complexity to this beautiful expression of Pinot Noir. The silky texture and lingering fruity finish combine to create a particularly enjoyable wine.
