Information
The Altaroses cuvée is an authentic and elegant red wine from the Montsant appellation in Catalonia. Renowned for its viticultural richness, this region benefits from a temperate Mediterranean climate, ideal for cultivating native grape varieties such as Grenache. The soils here are predominantly clay and limestone, with excellent water retention that allows the vines to thrive even during dry periods, contributing to the concentration and depth of the wine’s aromas. After being hand-harvested at optimal ripeness, the grapes are carefully destemmed. Fermentation occurs in stainless steel vats with native yeasts, preserving the authenticity of the terroir. Lastly, the wine is aged for around six months in oak casks, imparting subtle wood complexity without overshadowing the fruit.
This red wine presents a clear ruby colour. On the nose, it reveals aromas of fresh red fruits, such as cherry and raspberry, complemented by floral notes and delicate spices. On the palate, the wine is vibrant and crunchy, with soft tannins, leading to a fresh, fruity finish.
