Information
The prestigious Barolo appellation, in the Langhe hills in Piedmont, is home to Nebbiolo vines rooted in clay-limestone marl soils. This terroir imparts wines vibrant mineral tension, refined tannins and a structured elegance. Once they reach full phenolic ripeness, the grapes are harvested entirely by hand. After a long maceration, fermentation takes place slowly and spontaneously with native yeasts naturally present on the berries. The wine is then aged for around 60 months in old, large Slavonian oak tuns before being bottled.
The wine shows a garnet hue. Expressive aromas of black cherry, plum, dried rose and sweet spices rise from the glass. On the palate, the vibrant structure is firm and smooth, with a bright, saline acidity leading to a persistent, ample, and racy finish.
