Information
Pierry, a Premier Cru village in the southern slopes of Épernay, is one of Champagne’s historic terroirs. The Les Gayères locality is home to Pinot Noir vines planted in 1974. This mid-slope parcel, facing west, grows on loamy clay soils rich in calcite and flint. In the winery, vinification is carried out entirely in 350–600 L oak barriques, and the wine is aged for four years under natural cork. Bottling is done without fining or filtration.
In the glass, it shines a bright golden-yellow hue enlivened by a fine, delicate bead. The nose is elegant and complex, revealing ripe fruit subtly layered with subtle spice notes, underpinned by the chalk-driven minerality of the terroir. On the palate, the attack is broad yet precise, lifted by a fine, creamy foam, vibrant, well-integrated acidity and a long, persistent mineral tension.
