Information
Grown according to strict organic and biodynamic principles, the Cabernet Franc vines flourish at the heart of the Haut Bois Joli locality. This parcel rises on an exposed slope bordered by hedgerows and woodland, fostering natural biodiversity. Here, old vines draw their energy from demanding soils and yield fruit of singular intensity. The soils are dominated by dark schist and volcanic rock, characteristic of the Anjou Noir. Manual harvests are carried out at peak ripeness with careful sorting. Vinification follows a natural, low-intervention approach, and the wine is aged without new oak to preserve the identity of the site and the purity of the fruit.
The wine shows a garnet hue with violet glints. The expressive, complex nose offers ripe black fruit, morello cherry and spice, lifted by a subtle smoky note. On the palate, a fleshy attack reveals dense substance carried by bright mineral freshness. Fine tannins lead into a long, fruit-driven finish.
