Information
Alto Adige, in northern Italy, is a prestigious appellation shaped by both Austrian and Italian traditions. Terlaner I Primo Grande Cuvée, a rare and iconic wine, was created to embody the estate’s pursuit of excellence. It brings together Pinot Blanc, Chardonnay and Sauvignon sources from vines rooted on the steep slopes of Terlano in the Alto Adige at elevations between 250 and 900 metres. Manual harvests are followed by natural vinification: fermentation proceeds slowly and spontaneously in oak foudres (large tuns). The wine is then aged for 12 months on fine lees, also in foudres.
The luminous golden hue shows crystalline green glints. The intense, complex bouquet layers exotic fruit with touches of candied citrus, white flowers and alpine herbs. The palate is ample and silky, revealing a masterful balance between aromatic richness and incisive acidity. The long, persistent finish, saline and subtly spiced, is a pure expression of the finest Terlano wines.
