Rarity is a singular project: white wines from the legendary terroir of Alto Adige, aged for more than ten years on the lees in stainless steel before bottling and release. This extended ageing yields unusual depth and complexity. The Pinot Blanc vines grow on the steep slopes of Terlano at high altitude, rooted in volcanic porphyry, quartz, schist and mica-schist soils. Vinification is carried out with minimal intervention, with slow, spontaneous fermentations in stainless-steel vats. The wine’s extraordinary, decade-long ageing on fine lees imparts an exceptional aromatic richness.
The wine displays a golden hue. The remarkably complex nose reveals ripe fruit such as peach, pear and quince, alongside floral notes and touches of honey, beeswax and walnut. The palate is generous and silky, with a creamy texture balanced by vibrant tension. The long, persistent finish expresses both richness and Alpine minerality.
