    About the wine

Marsannay is a wine-making village steeped in history. In 630, its vineyards belonged to Bèze Abbey. A few centuries later, in 1158, the Saint-Urbain Monastery, which no longer exists, was built. In July 1443, near to the Charlemagne tree in a place called Charme, Pierre de Beaufremont - one of the great lords of Burgundy - held the most famous tournament in Christendom. The Marsannay rosé is tender and fruity, unfurling a power and liveliness that ensure it boasts excellent longevity. Its pink hue is almost a redcurrant shade. Its aromas are evocative of freshly pressed grapes and peach. One of France's very best rosés.
