More info

Grown in a small plot with granite soil, the old Viognier vines are late-harvested by hand. The grapes undergo direct maceration, and are barrel-fermented with indigenous yeasts. The wine is then matured for 10 months on fine lees. This Condrieu, with its pale colour and golden hues, delivers aromas of stone fruit and a generous, creamy, delicate palate. It is a wine to be enjoyed with a ceviche of cod with mango, or a plum pie.

About the Producer Stéphane Ogier

As this estate on the hillsides of Ampuis has been in the family for seven generations, it was perfectly natural for Stéphane Ogier to take over from his father Michel in 1997. Having learned his craft in Burgundy, he has decided to produce single-plot wines to achieve the best expression of each terroir. He also strives constantly for elegance and finesse. Today, the vines are planted on 27 hectares of granite and shale soil. Viticulture is conducted according to sustainable principles. Two distinct terroirs define the estate’s identity: the Côte Brune and the Côte Blonde, both shaped by a relatively cool climate. Since 2015, the estate operates in an ultramodern winery, equipped with over 600 barriques, ensuring precision in both vinification and ageing. Today, Stéphane Ogier’s wines clearly belong among the elite, thanks to his unwavering pursuit of excellence driven by passion, ambition, talent, and creativity.
