Tragically understated, the Cabardès appellation is bursting with extraordinary wines, and the ‘terroirs d’altitude’ cuvée is the perfect example. The vines grow at 360m of altitude in chalk and pebble soils. Fully exposed to the south, they count on the Atlantic winds for a certain freshness. Slow maturation allows for great complexity to develop. Two Bordeaux grapes are used, merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, as well as the local Syrah and Grenache. This wine blends the harmony and structure of Bordeaux and the richness and strength of the Languedoc.
