The hand-harvested Syrah and Nielluciu are vinified and matured separately. Half is matured in casks (1/3 new casks) and the other half in concrete vats. The nose is intense, the Syrah imparts aromas of violet and blackberry, whereas the Nieulluciu offers notes of stone fruits. The palate is dense, with velvety tannins. The cuvée is complex, with aromas of red and black fruits (raspberry, blackcurrant, blackberry) and spices (liquorice, grey pepper).
