Grande Champagne is a sumptuous terroir, with over 13,000 hectares of vines used to produce white wine, essential for making cognac. The soils consisting of clay and limestone impart finesse, roundness and fruity aromas to the wine. Once harvested and vinified, the Cognac elaboration process can begin. The double distillation produces a delicate, floral spirit which undergoes a delicate and lengthy ageing process.
The nose quickly reveals floral notes combined with a hint of acidity and sweetness. Notes of spice and cinnamon also mingle with notes of clove. The palate is packed with fruity aromas. Flavours of orange and prune combine with notes of coffee, complemented by a slight bitterness, leading to a persistent and fruity finish. A limited-edition masterpiece that the world’s greatest Cognac connoisseurs are snapping up.
