The wine
A brand of blended malt introduced in the late 2000s by independent bottler Douglas Laing focusing on the distilleries of Islay. Baptized The Black Edition, this version draws on a selection of casks distilled in 1992 and is effectively 27 years old (bottled in 2019). Classic maturation in oak casks. A limited edition of 3,000 bottles worldwide. Numbered bottle equipped with a cork stopper and stamped foil seal.
The Vintage Series was introduced as part of the Big Peat range in 2017. This trilogy of Black, Gold and Platinum focuses on a specific year of distillation at its Islay distilleries.
