Cameronbridge 1995 Signatory Vintage bottled 2013 Single Grain Collection
The wine
A single grain from the Cameronbridge distillery, distilled on 31 January 1995 and bottled in October 2013. This is a bottling from Scottish independent bottler Signatory Vintage for the Single Grain Collection. Signatory Vintage was founded in 1988 by Andrew Symington, who previously worked at Prestonfield House, Edinburgh, where he would select casks specially for the hotel. In 2002, he bought the Edradour distillery in Pitlochry, in the Highlands of Scotland and moved Signatory Vintage vintage to the site, including the warehouses opposite the distillery.
About the Producer Cameronbridge
Founded in 1824 by John Haig, the Cameronbridge distillery—now owned by Diageo—is one of the largest grain distilleries in the world. Taking an approach ahead of its time since it was first founded, the distillery was one of the first to be equipped with patent stills designed by Robert Stein (the founder’‘s cousin) and Coffey stills. It was also a founding member of DCL (now Diageo) alongside eight other grain distilleries that had a quasi-monopoly over grain production in Scotland. It was also the first to produce a Scottish single grain, proudly named Cameron Brig.
