Port Dundas 13 years 2004 Douglas Laing Clan Denny

The wine

A grain whisky from the Port Dundas distillery (Glasgow), which closed in 2010. Distilled in 2004 and bottled in 2017, it was matured for 13 years in a second-fill cask. The Clan Denny collection from Douglas McGibbon & Co (linked to Douglas Laing & Co) is in part dedicated to single grains, always bottled at 50%. Bottle number 285 of 327.

About the Producer Port Dundas

Built in Glasgow in 1811, the Port Dundas grain distillery was, in its prime, the largest distillery in Scotland. Particularly innovative for its time, it was also one of the founders of the conglomerate Distillers Company Limited, a predecessor to Diageo. Despite the various improvements made throughout its life, the distillery closed in 2011.
