Jérôme Galeyrand

Originally from the Loire Valley and with no family roots in wine, Jérôme Galeyrand spent eight years in the food industry before changing course. After training alongside Alain Burguet and Vincent Geantet, he established his own estate in 2001. Today, he farms almost six hectares spread across Gevrey-Chambertin, Fixin, Marsannay and Côte de Nuits-Villages. The estate has recently expanded with new holdings in Marsannay Clos du Roy, while new plantings are also underway around Dijon.
The vineyard, where the vines average 45 years of age, was organically certified from 2019 to 2024 and continues to be farmed without chemical inputs, and harvesting carried out entirely by hand. In the cellar, the same philosophy of restraint prevails. Fermentations rely exclusively on native yeasts, with no enzymes, minimal sulphites and 20 to 30% whole-bunch fermentation. The wines are then matured in traditional Burgundian barrels, around 20% of them new. The result is a collection of wines of striking precision and purity, each offering a remarkably transparent expression of its terroir.
