Vin de France Clos Ventas Les Pointes John Sanderson 2014

Located in Saint-Jean-de la Blaquière in Languedoc (Terrasses du Larzac), Le Clos Ventas is a very recent domain, created in 2013 by John and Kirsty Sanderson. The 4.5-hectare vineyard is planted with Cinsault, Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre, Marsanne and Grenache Blanc grapes. It is cultivated according to biodynamic principles. Although still young, it has been able to make a name for itself and win over a number of admirers of its very lightly extracted, highly fruity wines.

This pure Cinsault wine is aged in tronconic wooden vats for 12 months. It has a charming nose with red and dark fruit aromas and notes of spice, the garrigue and liquorice. The palate is elegant, velvety and balanced, with a very light, almost aerial texture. An indulgent delight!
