    Information
    About the producer

The Chelo distillery was founded by Michel Sajous in Saint-Michel-de-l’Attalaye in the north of Port-au-Prince. Distillation is carried out in a small bagasse-fired pot still equipped with a six-plate column. Chelo is one of the producers selected by Luca Gargano and Daniele Biondi during a trip to Haiti in 2012 that helped introduce Clairins to a wider public.

    About the wine

A single cask Clairin Sajous (#SA17OL-2) distilled in 2017 and bottled in 2020, aged for 29 months in a sherry cask. This cask was selected by Benoît Maxwell for La Maison du Whisky.
