Intensity
This deep, expressive wine reveals ripe fruit with subtle chocolate notes, carried by a suave, velvety palate.
More infoThis wine originates in the locality of La Gagère, on the upper slopes of Saint-Amour. The Gamay vines are divided into four small blocks, two of which face north, bringing notable freshness to the wine. They grow on granite soils with a high clay content, a combination that gives the wine its robust structure and power. After manual harvests, the fruit undergoes extraction through cap-punching and high-temperature maceration. Fermentation takes place naturally. The wine is then aged for 6 to 12 months in 400-litre seasoned barriques having already held three vintages.
On tasting, the wine reveals a light ruby hue. The nose combines notes of raspberry, wild strawberry and violet, lifted by gentle sweet spice. On the palate, a fresh, juicy attack opens onto present tannins, leading into a saline, floral finish.
