Crafted from a precise blend of 70% Marsanne and 30% Roussanne, the Perles Ivoires cuvée produced by Domaine Jean Esprit offers a journey to the heart of the Crozes-Hermitage vineyard. The vines grow on clay-limestone terraces nestling in the village of Pont de l’Isère, in the south of the Crozes-Hermitage appellation. The grapes are hand-picked at optimum ripeness, pressed immediately and fermented in barrels. The stirring of the lees and ageing processes are completed in barrels used for several wines, along with new barrels, for around eight months.
The pale colour reveals a bewitching bouquet combining generous white floral and nuts accented by light touches of iodine. The fresh, generous palate delicately affirms the aromas of the nose, and reveals hints of almond, culminating in a rich, thirst-quenching finish.
