The 1610 Blanc cuvée is an elegant blend of Vermentino and Semillon, offering exotic aromas combined with a fresh minerality and an unforgettable persistence on the palate.

More info

The 1610 Blanc cuvée is produced from a blend of Vermentino and Semillon grapes. The vineyard, located on north-facing parcels with clay soil at a high altitude, imparts a remarkable freshness to this wine. The grapes are harvested by hand to ensure a meticulous selection of grapes and to preserve the purity of the aromas. Fermentation is performed in two 500-litre amphorae and two 500-litre demi-muids, to facilitate the expression of the grape varieties and the terroir. After the fermentation stage, the wine is then matured in the same demi-muids and amphorae, providing the nectar with a balanced maturation. This method contributes to the harmony and complexity of the aromas.
On tasting, this elixir reveals fruity and spicy notes on the nose. The palate reveals notes of exotic fruit and lemon, culminating in a peppery and mineral finish. The Semillon imparts richness and volume, while the Vermentino brings elegance and length.

About the Producer Château Grand Boise

Backed by four centuries of history – it can trace its beginnings back to 1610 – the property has only had three owners. Nestled in the Trets village, the estate covers a huge area with 500 hectares of forests and woods, of which 40 are reserved for vines that are divided into 92 parcels. The latter are located between 300 and 650 meters above sea level. Grenache, Syrah, Cinsault, Vermentino, Sémillon and Cabernet Sauvignon are grown there following organic and biodynamic methods.
After being harvested by hand, the grapes are gently vinified without any additives and using natural yeasts (which is rather rare for Provence’s rosés). The estate wishes to show off the unique characteristics of its terroirs and those of the AOC Côte de Provence Sainte-Victoire. Maturation is carried out in cement and stainless steel vats and oak barrels and large turns (but no new wood) depending on the wine. A magnificent property to discover immediately.
