Loire Valley | 2023 vintage
Weather conditions
The year was marked by alternating heatwaves and heavy rain, creating disease pressure and accelerating ripening in early summer. Yields varied widely due to hail, drought, and mildew.
Harvest
Harvests began earlier than average, with careful vineyard management ensuring healthy, balanced grapes.
Profile of the wine
Muscadet wines from Nantes show freshness and citrus-driven aromatics with good ageing potential. Anjou Sauvignon offers intense fruit and minerality, while reds are supple and fruit-forward. Touraine whites are fresh and aromatic, and rosés show lively red fruit character.
Centre-Val-de-Loire wines display minerality and balanced structure. Crémant de Loire is elegant and energetic. Sweet wines saw reduced yields but remain aromatic and enjoyable.
