Information
Domaine Zeroine is located in the Jura. Rare and sought-after, this notably discreet estate has earned its reputation through the healthy cultivation of its grapes and its minimal, sometimes completely non-intervention, winemaking. A small gem waiting to be discovered!
Zéroïne, a wine trading house straight from the Jura, is expertly run by Maylis Bernard, the partner of the renowned Jean-François Ganevat. She produces natural wines with original blends created exclusively by a passionate couple of winegrowers. The PiGa cuvée is, as its name suggests, a meticulous blend of 50% Pinot Noir and 50% Gamay. The grapes, cultivated naturally according to biodynamic principles, undergo a semi-carbonic maceration and fermentation in stainless steel vats. The cuvée is then aged in foudres (large capacity wooden tuns) for twelve months and bottled without fining or filtration.
The ruddy-red colour reveals a light, floral nose with hints of spice mingling with cherry aromas. The perfectly balanced palate gently leads to a long, concentrated finish. This cuvée offers excellent ageing potential.
