Where Pinot is Prized
Delicate and demanding, Pinot Noir is a grape variety like no other. Looking at some of its most distinctive expressions, the road takes us to Burgundy, of course, with legendary producers Armand Rousseau, Dugat-Py, Groffier, Prieuré-Roch, Mortet … as well as new icons like Sylvain Pataille, Truchetet and Comte Senard. And in Alsace or the Loire? Albert Mann, Weinbach, Vincent Pinard, Alphonse Mellot… and from further afield? Outside France, Cristom, Littorai, Felton Road, Crystallum and Markus Molitor produce excellent single-vineyard wines that can hold their own against the famous grand crus of the Côte d’Or.
