The first edition of Springbank’s triple distilled single malt. Hazelburn 8 Year Old was bottled in 2005 with three different labels, the Maltings, The Stills and The Casks. 1,700 bottles of each were produced.

Nel 1997 la famiglia Mitchell inizia a produrre nella distilleria Springbank un single malt che, tempo addietro, veniva prodotto poco lontano: Hazelburn. Creata inizialmente a pochi metri della distilleria Longrow/Springbank, nel 1920 Hazelburn era proprietà di Mackie & Co Distillers Ltd, la società già proprietaria di Lagavulin e Craigellachie. Lo stabilimento fu chiuso definitivamente nel 1925. Hazelburn è un whisky di malto prodotto da tripla distillazione e non torbato, oggetto sin dalla metà degli anni 2000 di moltissime edizioni limitate.
